Sara with Devonia (Mum) and Quirino with Devonia (Dad) were the proud parents of a litter of five puppies born on 3rd May 2006. These progeny are now over 8 years of age and one in particular has been very successful in the showring.
You will see from the photos below - taken at weekly intervals, how quickly the puppies change.

Sara with Devonia (Mum) and Quirino with Devonia (Dad) had a further litter of 1 puppy born on 31st December 2007. Devonia's Altivita (Morse).
Introducing Devonia's Altivita. DOB 31.12.07.. Sara's third and final litter produced one dog puppy. Unfortunately this puppy had a very precarious start to life and had "Puppy Strangles" (For information on this disease please see Morse's page). He was extremely ill but managed to pull through after months and months of treatment. He did not go out into the big wide world until he was over six months of age as he could not have his inoculations until he was fully recovered. He attended his first Championship Show at Paignton & District Fanciers Association where he managed a Best Puppy in Breed and Reserve Best Dog.

The fun side of owning a Bolognese. Chris and Gina Taylor manning the Discover Dogs Stand for the
British Bolognese Club at Crufts on 9th March 2007. Not sure who is enjoying this the most the dogs or the owners.
(Face painting courtesy of Samsung) It was incredibly hot under those coats and wigs!!

Myself with some of the other winners at Crufts 2011
My hobby is to show my dogs. I have to admit, I do not attend nearly as many shows as I used to, but enjoy it as and when time permits. My Bolognese are shown at various shows around the country. I enjoy this activity as it gets the dogs and myself out and about to various venues. At shows one meets likeminded people who have furthering the breed at heart. Since showing my dogs I have made some lifelong friends with the same interests as myself.
My first Bolognese (Fabio Amorosa with Devonia) was 2002's joint top dog, an accolade that I am very proud of. Thanks for this must go to Gina and the late Martin Taylor from Gloucester who bred him and kindly let me have him to campaign. He was Best Dog in breed at Crufts the following year. (Sadly he is no longer with us, as we had a burglary and was very badly injured). I have had various successes and some of the results can be seen under the individual dogs own page. If you are interested in showing your Bolognese, I would be happy to give you any information you require. There are various books on how to show your dog, or you can always go to a Local Open or Championship show and have a look around and talk to the ?show folk?, most would be happy to chat and give you information. Most areas also have local Ring Training Classes. Please note that unless your Bolognese is registered at the Kennel Club you will be unable to show your dog at shows that hold a Kennel Club Licence.
